Privacy statement
1. Who we are
Audio·Locus is run by Magic Monday — trading name of Payment Innovations Holding B.V., the data controller.

2. No account, no sign-up
Audio·Locus has no login and no registration. We do not collect your name, email address or phone number. You can use the app without giving us any personal details.
3. Your location
The app needs your device location to build a walking loop around you and to guide you along it. Your coordinates are:
- used on your device to track your position and trigger the audio stories;
- sent to our processing service and to map and points-of-interest services (see section 6) to look up nearby places and walking routes.
We do not build a location history and we do not store your route on our servers unless you explicitly save it — saved routes are kept in your browser on your own device.
4. The audio stories
When you arrive at a place, the app sends that place's name and its public map tags to our processing service, which uses AI to write a short audio story and turn it into speech. We send only what is needed to write the story — not who or where you are over time.
5. What stays on your device
Your settings, chosen language, saved loops and already-generated stories are stored in your browser's local storage — on your device only. Clearing your browser data or removing the app erases them. We cannot see them.
6. Who processes data for us
To deliver the service we use a small set of subprocessors:
- Anthropic — generates the audio-story text (privacy policy)
- OpenAI — turns the text into speech (privacy policy)
- OpenStreetMap / Overpass & Nominatim — public places data and address search (privacy policy)
- Mapbox — map tiles (privacy policy)
- TransIP — hosting of the website (privacy policy)
We do not sell personal data and we run no third-party advertising trackers.
7. Server logs
Our servers keep standard technical logs (IP address, browser type, time of request) for up to 30 days, to keep the service secure and to fix problems. They are not used to profile you.
8. Lawful basis
We process the minimal data above to deliver the service you ask for when you use the app, and on legitimate interest for security logs and abuse-prevention.
9. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or port personal data and to object to processing. Because Audio·Locus keeps no account and no profile, there is normally very little to retrieve — but you can always email info@audiolocus.com and we will respond within 30 days. You can also file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
10. Children
Audio·Locus is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
11. Cookies
We use one technical mechanism — a service worker — so the app can load offline. It is not a tracking cookie. We run no advertising or analytics trackers. If we add analytics later, we will ask for consent first.
12. Changes
If this statement changes materially, we will update the date at the top of this page.
